The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the South-East (CCISE) welcomed, on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Misbah Demircan, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Tunisia, accompanied by a delegation, at the request of H.E. the Ambassador, as part of a visit aimed at strengthening communication and economic cooperation between the two sides.
H.E. the Ambassador was received by Mr. Ridha Kilani, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the South-East.
The Turkish delegation included:
- Mr. Selçuk Yılmaz, President of the Tunisian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
- Mr. Salah Eddine Batur, Commercial Attaché at the Embassy of Türkiye;
- Mr. Arman Abatay, Member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors;
- Mr. Ömer Kızılboğa, Member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors;
- Mr. Emre Öksüz, Member of the Chamber;
- Mr. Mohamed Amine Sghir, Member of the Chamber;
- Mr. Akif Turan, Representative and Agent of Anadolu Agency in Tunisia;
- Mr. Hassan Belkhlouti, Member of the Chamber.
The visit provided an opportunity to discuss ways to strengthen economic and trade relations between Tunisia and Türkiye, develop areas of cooperation and partnership between business communities, and explore new opportunities for trade and investment, in support of the business communities of both countries.
The discussions also highlighted the importance of strengthening contacts between Tunisian and Turkish businesspeople and enterprises, as well as promoting joint initiatives and meetings to open new avenues for cooperation and partnership and further consolidate bilateral economic exchanges.
This visit reflects the commitment of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the South-East to developing its relations with international partners and economic stakeholders, supporting the internationalisation of businesses in the region, and promoting new opportunities for international economic cooperation.
